BetMGM Is Set to Host Poker State Championship in Michigan

BetMGM is set to launch a new online poker series in September with tournament play available in three separate states. From September 15 to 25, players in Michigan will be able to participate in the BetMGM Poker State Championships. There is a prize fund for the competition that is accessible to players in each state. BetMGM’s gambling product, BetMGM Online Casino MI, is one of the prominent online gaming operators in the Great Lakes State.

Three states where playing online poker is permitted will host the new Poker State Championships. There will be a $1,000 Championship tournament in every state, however, the prize money may vary. The prize pool for these tournaments in Michigan is $200,000.

Prize money for the whole series in the participating states will total just over $2 million. The Michigan tournament is set to have a $680,000 prize pool.

Players from Michigan as well as from the other two states must reside within the state borders in order to participate in the Poker State Championships. The series will begin on September 15 with the $500 buy-in NLHE Kickoff. On the same day, the $100 buy-in NLHE 8-Max Phase 1 will also start.

Players will be able to take part in two to three events each day of the series. All of the necessary information, including buy-in details, timetables, and guaranteed prize pools, is accessible on BetMGM’s website. These tournaments are the first multi-state online poker events BetMGM has ever held in the US, but they most definitely won’t be the last. We’ll learn who will win each competition and how many individuals will take part during the course of September.
