Michigan Gaming Control Board Will Host a Public Board Meeting on August 9

MGCB Public Meeting and Agenda

On Tuesday, August 9, at 9:30 a.m., the Michigan Gaming Control Board held a physical meeting at its Cadillac Place headquarters, located at 3062 West Grand Boulevard, Suite L-700, Detroit, Michigan 48202-6062. The meeting was open to be attended by the general public through Zoom or over the phone.

The purpose of the meeting was to conduct board business regarding the implementation, administration, and enforcement of the provisions of the Michigan Gaming Control & Revenue Act (MCL 432.201 through 432.226), which relates to the licensing, regulation, and operation of casinos in the City of Detroit; the Lawful Internet Gaming Act (MCL 432.301 through 432.322), which relates to the licensing, regulation, and operation of Internet gaming in the State of Michigan; and the Lawful Sports Betting Act.

The meeting was open to the public, and during the public comment session of the meeting, questions, comments, and recommendations from the public regarding Board business and the licensing, regulation, and operation of casino gambling in Detroit under the Act were welcomed and encouraged.

Michigan Gaming Control Board

The Michigan Gaming Management Board (MGCB) manages casino gaming activities at the commercial casinos in Detroit through licensing, regulation, and control. Additionally, it issues licenses and enforces regulations to the suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors of gaming equipment for the casinos. MI gambling online comes within the MGCB’s scope.
