Playtech Has Expanded to Michigan Market with a New App
Playtech, a gambling technology company, has entered the Michigan market by developing a new iGaming mobile killer app in collaboration with Parx Interactive, a platform provider, and the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians.
The partnership with Playtech will provide Gun Lake Casino’s customers with all their favorite casino staples – slots, blackjack and roulette just to name a few.
The new app bases its origin on the tribe’s Gun Lake Casino, which got Michigan Gaming Control Board approval this week to open alongside Parx in the state.
The launch is part of a February agreement between Playtech and Parx Interactive, with other igaming roll-outs planned in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
Shimon Akad, Playtech’s chief operating officer stated that introduction of igaming relationship with Parx Casino was another major milestone in the development and delivery of US’ strategy. She added that the US is a highly sophisticated market and therefore needs high quality technology solutions.
The debut is the next stage in Playtech’s ongoing US expansion plans, which include plans to open the country’s first live casino studio after signing a multi-year lease in the city of Southfield, Michigan.
In New Jersey, Playtech has partnerships with Bet365 and MGM and Entain’s joint venture BetMGM.
