The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) underlines its commitment to promote responsible gaming behaviors across the state as March marks the start of Problem Gambling Awareness Month. The Board continues to place a high priority on the welfare of all those who participate in Michigan online gaming activities, with the goal of increasing awareness and offering tools to treat problem gambling habits.

The MGCB is commemorating the first year of its educational and entertaining podcast series, Double Down Michigan, this year. The podcast, which debuted in March 2023, aims to educate listeners on Michigan’s gaming landscape. Executive Director Henry Williams of MGCB will be joined by guests to cover a range of subjects, from licensing to responsible gaming to illicit gaming.

According to Williams, the podcast has proven to be a priceless medium for informing Michigan residents and our stakeholders on industry developments, responsible gaming strategies, and perspectives. As this momentous milestone is reached, MGCB is thrilled to reiterate its commitment to encouraging players and fans to play responsibly.

In view of current endeavors and, above all, its globally recognized and multiple award-winning “Don’t Regret the Bet” responsible gaming messaging campaign, the MGCB is happy to present an engaging conversation with Dan Trolaro, Vice President of Prevention – US at EPIC Global Solutions, for Episode 15 of the Double Down Michigan podcast. Williams and Trolaro, a well-known expert in gambling prevention, discuss Williams’ own gambling addiction and how he overcame it. The conversation also covers crucial advice and techniques for people to identify the early indicators of problem gambling and get assistance when necessary.
