The Gun Lake Tribe, also known as the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, is proud of its ties to southwest Michigan. And they continue to live up to that promise today by giving to their neighbors both locally and statewide.

Beginning on December 1, guests who bring in a present for children during the holiday season will get free slot play at the casino.

In particular, the Wayland-based Gun Lake Tribe, the owners of Gun Lake Casino Hotel, has contributed more than $3.5 million so far. Additionally, according to tribe spokesperson Carter Pavey IV, its people have kindly donated more than 4,000 volunteer hours to their communities in the counties of Kalamazoo, Barry, Allegan, Kent, and Ottawa.

According to Pavey, they are obligated to act as good stewards of the community. It must be a huge footprint since the company has one. The business wants to give back.

The Tribe, as its members refer to themselves, is once again busy becoming a center for charitable giving this Christmas season. Gun Lake Casino is a Toys for Tots drop-off station for the second year in a row.

Toys for Tots at Gun Lake Casino Starts on December 1

You can experience what it’s like to be Santa Claus at Gun Lake Casino in Wayland from December 1 till December 18.

To be more precise, all you have to do is bring in your brand-new, unopened toys to Gun Lake Casino to get free play on slots worth up to $100.

A family-friendly opening event with games and arts and crafts will take place at the casino on December 1. There will also be a Santa Claus present.
